Kicking off the August long weekend with some summer romance, this British Columbia native tells a homegrown story about falling in love with the man she least expected to – a boy in a backward hat that lives far away.
Co-written by multi-award-winning songwriter David Borys, whose other recent credits include Tony Stevens’ “Whiskey in Colorado” currently nominated for 2024 CCMA SOCAN songwriter of the year, among other categories.
Bobbi Smith, lead singer of female country band The Heels is the third co-writer on this track. With significant success in BC, Bobbi has since taken her career south, calling Nashville, Tennessee her new home base. The Heels’ recent career highlights include winning “Country Group of the Year” and performances at The Grand Ol Opry House and The Bluebird in Nashville, TN.
